After years of research experience in immunology and virology, including a PhD on vaccine-induced immune responses and post-doctoral work trying to understand why HIV wreaks such havoc on the immune system, I embarked on a Master of Public Health. I want to build bridges between the fascinating, detailed and technical world of medical science and the chaotic, information (and misinformation) clogged wider world. So here it is, a shot of sanity in the vein of public information on infectious diseases, vaccination, epidemiology, quack science, disease prevention and everything in between.
